Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii przez całą Europę środkową aż do Włoch północnych i Albanii. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadki, znany tylko z czterech krain, przy czym dane o występowaniu na Pojezierzu Pomorskim i w Sudetach Zachodnich opierają się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat. Znajdowany w zmurszałym drewnie brzóz i pod przegrzybiałą korą buków, świerków i jodeł.
