Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek zamieszkuje północną, środkową, wschodnią i częściowo południową Europę, nadto notowany z Azji Mniejszej i Iranu. Dość rzadko spotykany w różnego rodzaju zbiornikach wód stojących oraz w wodach wolno płynących. Występuje głównie wśród ramienic i glonów nitkowatych, często w towarzystwie Haliplus (Haliplus) confinis Steph.
