Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek europejski, rozmieszczony od południowo-wschodniej Anglii, południowej Fennoskandii i Karelii przez całą środkową część kontynentu aż do Francji, środkowych Włoch i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju, przy czym wiele danych o rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach sprzed około stu lat. Kusak o skrytym sposobie życia, zasiedlający dziuple zmurszałych drzew liściastych, zwłaszcza zamieszkałe przez sowy lub gryzonie.
