Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony. Występuje w północnej Afryce, w prawie całej Europie (prócz północnej części Fennoskandii), Azji Mniejszej, na Kaukazie i Syberii, notowany również z Madery i Azorów. Zasiedla suche, nasłonecznione gleby gliniaste i piaszczyste, pokryte niską i rzadko rozstawioną roślinnością trawiastą lub krzewiastą. Wykazywany niekiedy z pól uprawnych.
