Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1974:

Gatunek szeroko rozsiedlony na obszarach nizinnych od północnej Afryki przez prawie całą Europę aż do południowej części Szwecji, na wschód sięga do Uralu, wykazany również z Kaukazu. Żyje na terenach piaszczystych, słabo ocienionych zwłaszcza na wydmach śródlądowych i nadmorskich. Znajdowany zwykle pojedynczo dość głęboko w piasku między korzeniami roślin.
