Taxon description
Szeroko rozmieszczony gatunek palearktyczny, występujący od północnej Afryki przez prawie całą Europę aż do środkowej części Fennoskandii, na wschód sięga do Azji Mniejszej, Kaukazu i Syberii. Zamieszkuje głównie na terenach niżowych i pagórkowatych, zasiedlając miejsca otwarte, nie unika jednak miernie zacienionych, jasnych lasów iglastych. Lubi gleby piaszczyste i gliniasto-piaszczyste, niekiedy z domieszką próchnicy.
