Taxon description
Gatunek o słabo poznanym rozmieszczeniu, opisany z europejskiej części ZSRR i znany dotychczas tylko z tego obszaru. W Polsce dotąd nie stwierdzony. O występowaniu omawianego gatunku na Śląsku wątpiło wielu autorów (Letzner 1871, 1889, Schilsky 1888, 1909, Gerhardt 1891e, Horion 1935, 1965). Według A. Horiona (1965) wszystkie dane o występowaniu w środkowej Europie oparte są prawdopodobnie na błędnych oznaczeniach gatunków podobnych — Heterothops dissimilis (Gray.) albo H. quadripunctulus (Grav.).
