Taxon description
Gatunek południowopalearktyczny, rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej, południowej i środkowej części Europy, na Kaukazie, w Azji Mniejszej i na Syberii; najdalej na wschód wysuniętym stanowiskiem jest Władywostok. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk tylko w pięciu krainach. Występuje w miejscach suchych w starych pniach i pieńkach, pod dużymi kamieniami, mchem i opadłym listowiem, gdzie żyje w gniazdach mrówek z rodzaju Lasius F., głównie L. niger (L.).
