Szelegiewicz 1968:
Gatunek kosmopolityczny, prawdopodobnie pochodzenia palearktycznego.
Holocykliczny i różnodomny. Migruje fakultatywnie ze śliwy — Prunus domestica L. i tarniny — Prunus spinosa L. na trzcinę — Phragmites communis Trin., wyjątkowo na inne rośliny, np. Scirpus L. sp. Notowany jako szkodnik śliwy i wektor chorób wirusowych. Pospolity w całym kraju.
