Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek zasiedlający głównie zachodnią część Europy Środkowej, na zachód sięgający do Pirenejów, wykazywany nadto z północnych Włoch. Dotychczas nie był zaliczany do fauny Polski. Stosunkowo niedawno notowany z trzech krain południowych. Żyje w wodach płynących; zwłaszcza w środowisku prądowym górskich potoków, strumieni, źródeł i ich rozlewisk. Spotykany również pod kamieniami i w detrytusie.
