Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek rozmieszczony tylko w Podobszarze Śródziemnomorskim. U nas i w krajach otaczających Polskę nie występuje. Omyłkowo wykazany z Roztocza przez Sz. Tenenbauma (1913), ale później ten sam autor (1923) informację tę sprostował, wykreślając Hydrobius convexus BrullÉ z listy gatunków w naszej faunie. Z uwagi na rozmieszczenie ogólne, również dane o występowaniu na Nizinie Mazowieckiej są niewiarygodne.
