Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Rzadko spotykany choć szeroko rozmieszczony górski gatunek europejski, zamieszkujący Karpaty, góry południowych Włoch oraz Hercegowiny, Alpy i Pireneje. Z Polski wykazany z Tatr (bez bliższego oznaczenia stanowiska) na podstawie tylko dwu okazów znalezionych przed przeszło 60 laty. Występuje w jeziorach i stawach wysokogórskich, kałużach i bajorkach na granicy pól śniegowych, rzadko schodzi poniżej 2000 m n.p.m.
