Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1981:

Gatunek rozmieszczony w południowej i środkowej części Europy, notowany również z Afryki Północnej. Wszędzie sporadycznie i nielicznie poławiany; w Polsce nadzwyczaj rzadki, od 50 lat nie znajdowany. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich, przeważnie łowiony na pobrzeżach rzek pod napływkami.
