Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek zamieszkujący prawie całą Europę (prócz obszarów północnych Fennoskandii); notowany poza tym z Syberii i Kaukazu. W Polsce, prócz wyższych partii górskich, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, ale z niektórych krain nie jest jeszcze znany. Żyje na różnych gatunkach wyk, jak wyka ptasia — Vicia cracca L., wyka kosmata — V. villosa Roth, wyka leśna — V. silvatica L. i wyka długożagielkowa — V. tenuifolia Roth. Larwy przepoczwarczają się w żółtobiałym, siateczkowatym kokonie. Imagines wydobywają się z kokonów w drugiej połowie lipca i zimują. Wiosną następnego roku pojawiają się na roślinach i przeżywają do maja-lipca.
