Taxon description
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek w zachodniej części Palearktyki, w Europie występujący od krajów śródziemnomorskich po Wyspy Brytyjskie, Danię, południowe prowincje Szwecji i Finlandii oraz Karelię. W Polsce, aczkolwiek nie znany jeszcze z dziewięciu krain, występuje zapewne wszędzie na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Żeruje na powoju polnym — Convolvulus arvensis L.
