Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony prawie w całej Palearktyce, w Europie sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce rozprzestrzeniony od Bałtyku aż po Tatry, nie znany dotychczas tylko z Puszczy Białowieskiej. Zasiedla łąki, pastwiska i pobrzeża wód. Żyje na komonicy zwyczajnej — Lotus corniculatus L., komonicy błotnej — L. uliginosus Schk. oraz słonolubnej komonicy wąskolistnej — L. tenuifolius (L.) Rchb. Larwa żeruje i odbywa rozwój w strączkach, powodując ich zniekształcenia. W jednym strączku mogą występować 2-3 larwy.
