Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Szeroko rozmieszczony w krajach o klimacie umiarkowanym; notowany także z Ameryki Południowej, Nowej Zelandii i z Markizów. W Europie znany dotąd z Islandii, Anglii, Norwegii, Szwecji, Holandii, Polski i Austrii.
Prawdopodobnie gatunek anholocykliczny. Żeruje u nasady łodygi i na innych etiolowanych częściach roślin żywicielskich, którymi są głównie trawy. U nas znaleziony na Oxalis acetosella L.
