Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Wysp Brytyjskich i północnej Francji przez środkową i północną Europę aż do zachodniej Syberii. Występuje głównie w stojących wodach torfowiskowych i bagiennych, nadto znajdowany w zbiornikach leśnych ze zbutwiałymi liśćmi na dnie. W wodach płynących rzadko spotykany.
