Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa, Zakaukazie.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny, żeruje na młodych gałązkach a latem także na korzeniach buka — Fagus silvatica L. Często tworzy kolonie wysoko w koronach drzew i jest zawsze odwiedzany przez mrówki. Żerowanie mszyc powoduje pękanie kory i tworzenie się rakowatych zniekształceń na gałązkach.
