Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w południowej i środkowej części Europy; notowany ponadto z Anglii, Danii, krajów kaukaskich i Algierii. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany z Wejherowa i z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Zasiedla suche i ciepłe środowiska. Żyje na dębach, poławiany niekiedy na głogu, leszczynie i gruszy. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się w maju i dożywają do lipca. Samice składają jaja do tutek sporządzonych z liści dębu przez samice Attelabus nitens (Scop.), przeto występuje tu pasożytnictwo.
