Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1979:

Gatunek rozmieszczony w północnej i środkowej Europie, na zachód sięgający do Francji, na południe do północnych Włoch, a w Skandynawii daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce na ogół rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Zamieszkuje torfowiska i lasy bagniste na obszarach nizinnych. Poławiany głównie wśród wilgotnych mchów, zwłaszcza w kożuchach torfowców (Sphagnum Ehrhardt) i kępach turzyc (Carex L.) częściowo zanurzonych w wodzie.
