Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w niemal całej Europie, w Fennoskandii sięgający do skrajnych prowincji północnych, a na południu kontynentu do górzystych terenów we Francji, środkowych Włoszech, Jugosławii i Rumunii, wykazywany też z Krymu oraz Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Występuje głównie w podgórskich lasach liściastych na starych, stojących, obumarłych drzewach, leżących pniach oraz na pieńkach, na których drewno i kora porośnięte są grzybami, przeważnie należącymi do śluzowców i żagwiowatych.
