Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek zamieszkujący Europę południową oraz południową część Europy środkowej, notowany ponadto z Afryki Północnej i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk, przy tym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu jest oparta na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Występowanie u nas, a zwłaszcza w części północnej kraju wymaga potwierdzenia, gdyż według A. Horiona (1955) wszystkie dane z byłych Prus są wątpliwe, a ze Śląska brak jest okazów dowodowych. Zasiedla zimne wody w strumieniach na obszarach pagórkowatych i górzystych.
