Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Pospolity gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej Europie. W Polsce notowany głównie z południowej części kraju; nieliczne dane o rozmieszczeniu w obszarze północnym pochodzą przeważnie z ubiegłego stulecia. Występuje głównie na obszarach górzystych i na podgórzach, rzadziej na terenach nizinnych. Żyje w potokach górskich i leśnych, zwłaszcza w ich środkowym i górnym biegu aż do źródeł. Poławiany przeważnie na kamieniach i wśród mchów wodnych.
