Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w niemal całej Europie (z wyjątkiem skrajnych obszarów północnych Fennoskandii); notowany poza tym z Maroka i Algierii. W Polsce, aczkolwiek nie jest jeszcze znany z niektórych krain, występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju. Występuje na pobrzeżach wód, mokrych łąkach, torfowiskach, mokradłach, w rowach i olszynach. Rośliny żywicielskie to: sitowie leśne — Scirpus silvaticus L., sit rozpierzchły — Juncus effusus L. i turzyce — Carex L. Larwy żerują w obrębie podstawy blaszki liściowej i żeberek.
