Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej części Palearktyki od zachodnich wybrzeży Europy po Kazachstan i od krajów śródziemnomorskich aż poza kolo podbiegunowe. Jako rośliny żywicielskie były podawane różne gatunki z rodziny babkowatych — Plantaginaceae i jaskrowatych — Ranunculaceae, ale wymagania pokarmowe tego chrząszcza nie są ostatecznie wyjaśnione.
