Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w zachodniej części Palearktyki, w Europie na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii. Żeruje na różnych gatunkach lnu — Linum L., w środkowej Europie głównie na lnie uprawnym — Linum usitatissimum L. i przeczyszczającym — L. catharicum L. Chrząszcz ten jest zaliczany do szkodników w uprawach lnu.
