Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
[KFP 4485: Luperus xanthopoda] Gatunek pontyjski, którego północna granica rozmieszczenia przebiega od zachodnich Alp, przez dolinę górnego Renu, Śląsk, Podkarpacie aż po północny Kazachstan. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Spotykany w środowiskach o charakterze kserotermicznym. Żyje na różnych gatunkach krzewów i drzew liściastych, głównie na młodych wiązach i leszczynie.
Burakowski et al. 1991:
[KFP 4483: Luperus saxonicus] Gatunek zasiedlający pas nizin od północnej Francji do środkowej części kontynentu; notowany poza tym z południowej Szwecji. Według A. Warchałowskiego (1973) występowanie tego gatunku w Polsce nie jest pewne. Wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk w 11 krainach, głównie na podstawie danych z ubiegłego stulecia, w początkach bieżącego wieku wykazany był z Pobrzeża Bałtyku i Niziny Wielkopolsko-Kujawskiej. Większość danych o jego występowaniu jest mało wiarygodna, w zbiorach Instytutu Zoologii PAN w Warszawie i Zakładu Zoologii Systematycznej i Doświadczalnej w Krakowie nie ma okazów tego gatunku, a często okazy L. xanthopoda (Schr.) oznaczane są błędnie jako L. saxonicus (Gmel.) (L. Borowiec*). Występuje na wiązach i wierzbach.
