Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Licznie spotykany w lasach iglastych gatunek motyla lata w jednym i w częściowo drugim pokoleniu: od końca IV do początku VIII oraz od końca VIII do połowy IX. Gąsienice, żerujące po kilka na igłach sosen, świerków i rzadziej jałowców, żyją w VI i VII oraz w IX. Na okres zimowy zakopują się w ziemi, gdzie zamieniają się w poczwarki.
