Taxon description
Rozsiedlenie tego górskiego gatunku nie jest wystarczająco zbadane, gdyż przez wielu autorów jest on uznawany za odmianę M. guttifer Kiesenw. — wykazywano go dotychczas z Karpat, południowej części Niemiec, Austrii oraz z Bułgarii. W Polsce jest znany tylko z Zakopanego i zapewne na podstawie tej wzmianki sprzed przeszło stu lat wykazywano go później ogólnikowo z Galicji, Karpat i Tatr. Wymagania środowiskowe i bionomia nie są znane — w Szwajcarii poławiano go na stanowiskach górzystych położonych na wysokościach od 900 do około 1750 m n.p.m.
