Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Rozmieszczony w zachodniej części Palearktyki; notowany także z Ameryki Północnej.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje na młodych pędach jodeł — Abies alba Mill., Abies concolor Engelm., powodując niekiedy skręcanie się i usychanie igieł. Cykl rozwojowy składa się z trzech pokoleń i kończy się już na początku lata złożeniem jaj.
