Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Rozmieszczony w Europie i na Kaukazie; występuje w parkach, sporadycznie. Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje na świerku białym — Picea alba Lk., zazwyczaj na igłach, nie powodując żadnych widocznych deformacji. Sądząc po roślinie żywicielskiej, pochodzi prawdopodobnie z Ameryki Północnej.
