Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1990a:

Bardzo rzadki gatunek europejski o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu. Notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w środkowej Europie oraz w południowym obszarze europejskiej części ZSRR, docierający na zachód do Szwajcarii i południowo-wschodniej Francji. W Polsce chrząszcz ten należy do wielkich rzadkości — notowano go tylko z jednego stanowiska. Ekologia i bionomia tego gatunku jest znana tylko fragmentarycznie, również niższe postacie rozwojowe nie są dotychczas opisane. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano od maja do lipca na gałęziach sosen, stosach chrustu z gałęzi topoli oraz na kwitnących krzewach. Krótkie wzmianki w piśmiennictwie podają, że gatunek ten ma generację jednoroczną oraz że rozwój larwalny odbywa w cienkich gałęziach sosny.
