Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Gatunek dość pospolity w lasach liściastych. Motyl lata od końca V do pocz. VIII. Gąsienice żerują na dębach, bukach, brzozach, wg innych źródeł również na topoli czarnej i in. od VII do IX. Gąsienice budują oprzędy między liśćmi na ziemi. Poczwarki zimują niekiedy kilka razy.
