Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986a:

Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek w Palearktyce i Obszarze Orientalnym; w Europie jest najczęściej spotykanym gatunkiem omawianego rodzaju, w Fennoskandii dociera do skrajnych prowincji północnych. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, jednak wykazywany jest z nielicznych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Spotykany od wiosny do późnej jesieni wśród rozkładających się szczątków roślinnych, w pryzmach kompostowych, nawozie, wśród siana, słomy, niekiedy także w kurnikach i mrowiskach.
