Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

[KFP 1847: Mycetoporus aequalis] Gatunek północnopalearktyczny, w Europie zasiedlający część środkową i północną aż za koło podbiegunowe, a na południe sięgający do północnej części Półwyspu Bałkańskiego, na wschód dociera do Syberii i Mongolii. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany tylko z jednego stanowiska. Znajdowany pod wilgotnymi i przegrzybiałymi liśćmi oraz starymi rozłogami wrzosów.

[KFP 1858: Mycetoporus forticornis] Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej i środkowej Europie oraz w południowej części północnej Europy, wykazywany nadto z Kaukazu i Zakaukazia. W Polsce znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk. Znajdowany na suchych zboczach pod niskimi roślinami, w ściółce na wrzosowiskach i w jasnych lasach iglastych, w dołach po wybranym piasku, na polach i łąkach pod gnijącymi szczątkami roślinnymi.
