Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek znany z Kaukazu, Podobszaru Śródziemnomorskiego, środkowej Europy i z południowej części północnej Europy. W Polsce wykazany z nielicznych stanowisk w północnej i południowej części kraju. Występuje zarówno na terenach nizinnych, jak i w górach, gdzie dociera do strefy alpejskiej. Poławiany w dołach po wybranym piasku i żwirze, na kserotermieznych zboczach pagórków, w lasach pod mchem, opadłymi liśćmi i gnijącymi roślinami, a w strefie alpejskiej pod kamieniami i na pobrzeżach topniejących pól śnieżnych.
