Szelegiewicz 1968:
Gatunek kosmopolityczny, o nieznanym pochodzeniu.
Anholocykliczny. W Polsce tylko w szklarniach i pomieszczeniach zamkniętych, na roślinach ozdobnych. Notowany jako wektor bardzo wielu chorób wirusowych.
