Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej Europie, notowany również z kilku południowych stanowisk w Szwecji i Finlandii, ponadto wykazywany z Madery i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce stosunkowo rzadko spotykany. Występuje w lasach i na łąkach, poławiany w rozkładających się szczątkach roślinnych, u wejścia do nor lisów i borsuków oraz w gniazdach kretów i królików, niekiedy w gniazdach ptaków.
