Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek zamieszkujący głównie środkową Europę i znaczne obszary północnej Europy, sięgający do Wysp Brytyjskich, północnej Szwecji, południowej części Norwegii i Finlandii, na południe docierający do północnych Włoch, Chorwacji i Siedmiogrodu, poza tym notowany z europejskiej części ZSRR. W Polsce prawdopodobnie występuje na całym obszarze, aczkolwiek nie wykazywany jeszcze z prawie połowy krain. Spotykany pod mchem pokrywającym stare pnie i pieńki, opadłymi liśćmi i przegrzybiałym chrustem, na torfowiskach wśród mchów z rodzaju Sphagnum Ehrhardt.
