Taxon description
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Eurazji, notowany również z dwu stanów w Stanach Zjednoczonych, w środkowej Europie najpospolitszy gatunek omawianego rodzaju. W Polsce poławiany głównie na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, aczkolwiek nie znany jeszcze ze wszystkich, krain. Znajdowany pod padliną różnych kręgowców.
