Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony w zachodniej, południowej i środkowej Europie. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk; ogólne wzmianki o występowaniu w «Prusach» (Schilsky 1888, Reitter 1909, Horion 1951) odnoszą się do stanowisk leżących poza naszą granicą, głównie w okolicy Królewca (RFSRR). Rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany zarówno w wodach słodkich, jak i słonawych, głównie na terenach nizinnych.
