W Polsce z całą pewnością nie występuje. Gatunek wysokogórski o zasięgu ograniczonym do południowo-wschodniej części Alp. Wszystkie inne dane o rozmieszczeniu, również z Polski, odnoszą się do innych gatunków, a zwłaszcza do Ocypus (Goerius) macrocephalus Gravenhorst. Występuje dość pospolicie w Alpach powyżej około 2000 m n.p.m.
