Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek europejski o niedostatecznie poznanym rozsiedleniu, gdyż przez niektórych autorów uważany za formę S. conglobata (L.), do którego zewnętrznie jest bardzo podobny, a dobre oznaczenie uzyskuje się przez zbadanie aparatu genitalnego samca. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadko notowany, znany dotychczas tylko z ośmiu krain i poza Niziną Mazowiecką jedynie na podstawie znalezisk sprzed przeszło stu lat, dlatego też rozsiedlenie omawianego gatunku wymaga dalszych badań.
