Taxon description
Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Podgatunek borealno-górski, znany w Europie z Alp, Tatr, Karpat rumuńskich i Pirinu, w Ameryce Północnej z Gór Skalistych (na południe aż po Kalifornię i Nowy Meksyk) oraz ze Skandynawii, Syberii, Alaski i Kanady. Z Grenlandii opisano drugi podgatunek, Theridion ohlerti lundbecki SØRensen, 1898. W Tatrach spotykany na wysokości 900-1500 m n.p.m. Żyje na świerkach i w kosodrzewinie.
