Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu, poza Polską znany z Francji, Włoch, Austrii i Słowacji. U nas chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany tylko z dwu stanowisk. Spotykany w piwnicach, stajniach, pryzmach kompostowych, stogach, wśród gnijącej słomy, pod wysychającym nawozem itp.
