Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Obszar rozsiedlenia gatunku obejmuje środkową i południową część Europy, nadto znany jest z południowej Anglii, Azji Mniejszej, Syrii i Turkiestanu. W Polsce notowany z pojedynczych stanowisk głównie w południowej części kraju, dane o występowaniu na Pobrzeżu Bałtyku winny być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami. O zasiedleniu byłych Prus wątpi A. Horion (1958). Znajdowany od kwietnia do lipca w ekskrementach bydła, owiec i kóz na glebach piaszczystych, zarówno na terenach otwartych, jak i pobrzeżach lasu, drogach i polanach leśnych.
