Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej, środkowej i wschodniej części Europy, notowany ponadto z północnej i wschodniej Afryki oraz Japonii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk rozmieszczonych tylko w południowej części kraju. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się wczesną wiosną i są poławiane do sierpnia. Larwy żerują w zbutwiałych gałęziach i pniach drzew liściastych, głównie dębów i wierzb.
