Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w całej Europie, w Fennoskandii sięgający po skrajne prowincje północne, a na wschód przez Syberię docierający do Władywostoku; notowany ponadto z zachodniej części Afryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju, ale uzupełniające dane ze zbiorów wskazują na szersze jego rozmieszczenie. Zasiedla huby na drzewach liściastych, znajdowany również w murszejącym drewnie i pod przegrzybiałą korą. W piśmiennictwie notowano go z następujących gatunków grzybów: czyreń ogniowy — Phellinus igniarius (L. ex Fr.) Quél., hubiak pospolity — Fomes fomentarius (L. ex Fr.) Kickx, lakownica spłaszczona — Ganoderma applanatum (Pers. ex Wallr.) Pat., ozorek dębowy — Fistulina hepatica (Schaeff.) ex Fr., włóknouszek promienisty — Inonotus radiatus (Sow. ex Fr.) P. Karst., w. szczotkowaty — I. hispidus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst. i flagowiec olbrzymi — Meripilus giganteus (Pers. ex Fr.) P. Karst.
