[KFP 4411: Oreina cacaliae senecionis] Gatunek o zasięgu ograniczonym do obszarów górzystych w południowej i środkowej Europie. Tworzy kilkanaście podgatunków, z których O. (Ch.) cacaliae senecionis (Schumm.) występuje w Sudetach i Karpatach. W Polsce rzadko spotykany we wschodniej części kraju, pospolity w Sudetach. Poławiany latem i jesienią na różnych gatunkach roślin z rodziny złożonych — Compositae, jak np. na miłośnie górskiej — Adenostyles alliariae (Gouan) Kern., lepiężnikach — Petasites Mill. i starcach — Senecio L.
